The Government of Odisha has initiated a strategic reshuffle among Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, aimed at enhancing governance efficiency and streamlining departmental oversight across key sectors. The General Administration and Public Grievance Department released the notification on Friday, confirming the new appointments.
Mr. Vijay Amruta Kulange Appointed Director of Animal Husbandry
Mr. Vijay Amruta Kulange, a 2013-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Director of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, Odisha, based in Cuttack. Mr. Kulange was previously serving as the Managing Director of OMFED (Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation Ltd).
In a move that ensures continuity and efficiency in leadership, Mr. Kulange has been allowed to continue as the Managing Director of OMFED, Bhubaneswar, in an additional charge capacity.
Mr. Premjit Nayak Joins SC, ST Development Department
Mr. Premjit Nayak, who previously served as the Director of AYUSH, has been appointed as the Additional Secretary to the Government in the Department of SC and ST Development, Minorities, and Backward Classes, Bhubaneswar.
This transfer reflects the state government’s commitment to inclusive growth and better policy implementation for underrepresented communities.
Ms. Anjana Panda to Lead AYUSH Directorate
Ms. Anjana Panda, a 2015-batch IAS officer and currently Additional Secretary to the Government in the Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department, has been appointed as the new Director of AYUSH, Bhubaneswar.
Her administrative experience is expected to contribute to the strengthening of traditional and alternative healthcare systems in the state.
Ms. P Anvesha Reddy to Oversee Dual Roles in Revenue and Excise
Ms. P Anvesha Reddy, also a 2015-batch IAS officer, who currently serves as the Excise Commissioner of Odisha, Cuttack, will now hold additional charge as the Inspector General of Registration, Odisha, Cuttack.
This dual role is anticipated to bring greater synergy between excise and registration functions, ensuring smoother revenue administration and regulation enforcement.
