New Delhi: The Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) has rolled out the inaugural session of LeaDHer 2025, a leadership development program crafted exclusively for women professionals under its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) framework. The session, held at OMC’s Head Office in Bhubaneswar, saw the participation of around 137 women employees from different units of the corporation.

Focus on Women Leadership

The initiative is designed to build leadership capabilities, enhance inclusivity, and prepare women employees to take on larger roles within the organisation. By equipping participants with critical leadership skills, OMC aims to strengthen its talent pipeline and foster a culture of empowerment across its operations.

Leadership Presence at the Launch

The program was inaugurated in the presence of Director (HR) Alok Kumar Pal, Executive Director (P&A) Talat Afreen, and General Manager (Personnel) Malay Ranjan Kar. The officials commended the initiative and urged participants to apply the learnings in both professional and personal spheres, contributing to OMC’s long-term growth.

From Wellness to Leadership

Initially launched in 2024 as a wellness-focused initiative under OMC’s Women Wellness & DEI framework, LeaDHer has now evolved into a structured platform for leadership development. The 2025 edition features expert-led workshops, interactive discussions, and peer learning modules covering areas such as:

  • Executive presence
  • Influence without authority
  • Strategic communication
  • Emotional intelligence
  • Resilience
  • Team empowerment

Scaling Up for Wider Impact

By scaling up the program into a leadership-focused platform, OMC has reaffirmed its commitment to creating a progressive and future-ready workplace. The corporation also announced that similar sessions will be conducted across its mining regions to ensure that the benefits of the initiative reach employees at all operational levels.
