New Delhi: The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has announced a key leadership transition with Sushma Rawat (DIN: 09361428), Director (Exploration), superannuating from her position effective July 1, 2025.
In her place, Mr Vikram Saxena (DIN: 10892368), who currently holds the post of Director (Technology & Field Services), has been assigned additional charge as Director (Exploration). The temporary appointment was made following a directive from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, via letter dated June 30, 2025.
Three-Month Interim Appointment
Mr Saxena will discharge the duties of Director (Exploration) for a period of three months beginning July 1, 2025, or until a regular appointee is named, or until further orders, whichever occurs earlier. This move ensures continuity in ONGC’s exploration leadership—one of the company’s most critical verticals.
Regulatory Disclosure Compliant with SEBI Norms
The update was formally disclosed by Rajni Kant, Company Secretary & Compliance Officer of ONGC, in adherence to Regulation 30 read with Schedule III of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Mr Vikram Saxena currently oversees Technology & Field Services, a strategic domain responsible for innovation, process optimization, and engineering solutions within ONGC. His temporary charge of the Exploration portfolio is expected to support operational stability during the leadership transition period.
