IPS officer Pankaj Kumar Singh has been appointed as DIG in the Central Bureau of Investigation. A 2008-batch officer of AGMUT cadre, Mr. Singh is currently serving as Director, Department of Youth Affairs, under central staffing scheme. His tenure has been cut short and he has now been posted in CBI through a lateral shift basis. Mr. Singh’s tenure will be for five years, until 5 December, 2026.
He is currently on central deputation. In the year 2021, he was given proforma promotion to the rank of DIG/Additional CP in his cadre.
