New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Parthajit De for appointment as Director (Finance) of SJVN Limited, a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Power. The recommendation was made during a PESB selection meeting held on December 15, 2025.
PESB Selection Meeting and Recommendation
The recommendation was finalized at PESB Selection Meeting No. 119/2025, where the Board conducted interviews to fill the top finance position at SJVN Limited. After a detailed evaluation process, Parthajit De emerged as the selected candidate for the role.
Currently, Parthajit De is serving as General Manager (Finance) at NHPC Limited, where he has been associated with key financial planning, budgeting, and strategic finance functions in the power sector.

Strong Competition from Senior PSU Executives
The PESB interviewed a total of 10 candidates drawn from leading Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) in the power and infrastructure sectors. Candidates represented organizations such as SJVN Limited, NTPC Limited, NHPC Limited, THDC India Limited, REC Limited, and Engineers India Limited.
The shortlisted candidates included senior finance professionals holding positions such as Executive Director, Additional General Manager, and General Manager, reflecting the high level of competition for the post.
Next Step: Cabinet Approval
Following the PESB’s recommendation, the proposal will now be forwarded to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for final approval. Once cleared by the ACC, the appointment will be formally notified, and Parthajit De will take charge as Director (Finance) of SJVN Limited.
