Karnal: As part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Power Finance Corporation Ltd. (PFC) distributed 100 motorised tricycles to Divyangjans (persons with disabilities) in Karnal, Haryana, aiming to empower beneficiaries through improved mobility and self-reliance.
The distribution event, held on September 20, 2025, was graced by several dignitaries including Mr. Harvinder Kalyan, Hon’ble Speaker of the Haryana Legislative Assembly, Smt Renu Bala Gupta, Mayor of Municipal Corporation, Karnal, Mr. Kulbir Malik, Secretary of the Red Cross Society, Karnal, and senior officials from PFC.
Driving Inclusive Empowerment Through Mobility
This initiative is part of a larger programme by PFC to improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities across India. By providing motorised tricycles, PFC aims to enhance the mobility, independence, and social inclusion of Divyangjans, enabling them to lead lives of dignity and self-sufficiency.
The motorised tricycles are designed to offer ease of movement over long distances, reducing the physical strain typically associated with manual mobility aids. Such interventions are particularly beneficial in semi-urban and rural regions, where public transport options are limited.

PFC has been at the forefront of CSR in the power sector, focusing on education, healthcare, skill development, and support for differently-abled individuals.
Looking Ahead
This distribution in Karnal is part of a nationwide CSR campaign by PFC to provide 2,000 motorised tricycles across 10 Indian states, in collaboration with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO).
As PFC continues to scale its CSR outreach, such initiatives are expected to contribute significantly to building an inclusive society where persons with disabilities are empowered to participate fully in social and economic life.
