Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with all secretaries to the Government of India and encouraged them for fast implementation of policies regarding various issues of the country on Saturday.
Mr. Modi was flanked along by Cabinet Secretary, Rajiv Gauba and Principal Secretary to the PM, Dr. PK Mishra. Sources revealed that the meeting continued for almost three hours in which Mr. Modi spoke for about half an hour, stressing his views on policy implementation before he heard the senior secretaries and the IAS officers sharing their ideas on policy implementation and execution. In January 2019, before the Covid-19 pandemic, the PM had held such meeting with all the secretaries of the government to get feedback from the policy implementers.
The basic purpose of the meeting was to energize the bureaucracy to make it result driven, not process driven.
