Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Power Grid), a prestigious PSU under the Ministry of Power, has been honored with the Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) IS/ISO 37001 certification by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The certification ceremony took place on May 8 at Power Grid’s Corporate Centre in Gurugram. Lalthan Pari, Director of Management System Certification (Central) at BIS, presented the ABMS Certificate to Dharmendra Kumar Madan, Chief Vigilance Officer of Power Grid, in the esteemed presence of Ajay Tewari, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Power, RK Tyagi (CMD), Abhay Choudhary (Director of Projects), G Ravisankar (Director of Finance), Dr. Yatindra Dwivedi (Director of Personnel), Ashish Tripathi (Chief Vigilance Officer at BIS), Anish Anand (Deputy CVO at Power Grid), and other senior officials from both Power Grid and BIS.
During the event, Ajay Tewari, the Additional Secretary (MoP), highlighted the significance of vigilance mechanisms in government organizations. The ABMS certification underscores Power Grid’s commitment to transparency and serves as a preventive vigilance tool to ensure fairness and integrity within the organization, in alignment with the guidance provided by the Central Vigilance Commission and the Ministry of Power. Additionally, the event included training sessions on ABMS conducted by officials from BIS and Power Grid.
