New Delhi: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Power Grid), a Maharatna CPSE under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, concluded its weeklong observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 with a grand valedictory ceremony at its Corporate Office in Gurugram. The event was graced by Trishaljit Sethi, Secretary of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), as the Chief Guest.
The ceremony saw the presence of Power Grid’s Board of Directors, including G. Ravisankar, Director (Finance); Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel); Naveen Srivastava, Director (Operations); Burra Vamsi Rama Mohan, Director (Projects); and Naveen Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO).
Emphasis on Proactive Vigilance
Delivering the keynote address, Trishaljit Sethi highlighted the evolving role of the CVC in combating corruption. She emphasized the shift from punitive measures to a preventive, participative, and predictive approach to vigilance. She also noted that the adoption of advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning has enabled organizations to take proactive measures. Sethi commended Power Grid’s continuous efforts to promote transparency and integrity across its operations.
Launch of PG MAS and Candour Journal
As part of the ceremony, the Chief Guest, along with Power Grid’s Board of Directors and CVO, launched the PG MAS (Power Grid Mobile Attendance System), a GPS-enabled mobile attendance platform designed to enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, the event saw the unveiling of Candour, the in-house journal of the Power Grid Vigilance Department, aimed at fostering awareness and sharing best practices in vigilance.
Engagement with Vendors and Capacity-Building Initiatives
Aligned with this year’s theme, “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility,” Power Grid organized Vendor Meets across more than 135 locations. Over 120 vendors participated in the Gurugram event alone, engaging directly with management to discuss queries and provide feedback. The observance also included more than 20 capacity-building programs and a seminar on “Sharing Best Vigilance Practices,” encouraging knowledge exchange and collaboration with other Power CPSEs.
Culmination of a Three-Month Campaign
The valedictory ceremony marked the conclusion of a three-month-long vigilance awareness campaign that began on August 18, reinforcing Power Grid’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and integrity. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer Rajesh Wadhwa.
For Power Grid, vigilance is not a one-time initiative but a continuous responsibility, emphasizing the collective role of every employee in building a corruption-free India.
