New Delhi: In a major step towards nurturing innovation and promoting talent in the field of robotics, Prasar Bharati and the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly organize the national-level robotics competition – DD Robocon.
The MoU was formally signed by Mr K. Satish Nambudiripad, Director General of Doordarshan, and Mr Arvind Kumar, Director General of STPI, in the esteemed presence of 1995 batch IAS officer Gaurav Dwivedi, CEO of Prasar Bharati.
The collaboration marks a significant stride in leveraging media and technology ecosystems to foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and engineering excellence among Indian students and young professionals.

The DD Robocon competition, set to be held at the national level, will serve as a platform to inspire the next generation of roboticists and tech leaders. Through this partnership, both organizations aim to create greater awareness around robotics, encourage practical application of STEM skills, and build a vibrant tech community in India.
Established in 1991 under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, STPI has been at the forefront of promoting software exports and technological innovation across the country. This partnership with Prasar Bharati, India’s public broadcaster, is expected to amplify the reach and impact of DD Robocon nationwide.
