New Delhi: On the occasion of Independence Day 2025, the Hon’ble President of India has conferred the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM) and the Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM) on 17 officers and personnel of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF). These awards recognise exemplary professionalism, dedication, and service to the nation’s railway security apparatus.
President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM)
Two senior officers from South Central Railway have been awarded the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service for their long-standing and exceptional contribution to the RPF:
Mr. G. Madhusudana Rao, Divisional Security Commissioner, South Central Railway
Mr. K. Rajagopala Reddy, Assistant Security Commissioner, South Central Railway
Their leadership and commitment have significantly enhanced the effectiveness and operational readiness of railway security in the region.
Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM)
A total of 15 officers and officials have been awarded the Medal for Meritorious Service across various zones and training institutions of the RPF/RPSF. The recipients include high-ranking officers, inspectors, sub-inspectors, and constables who have demonstrated dedication and integrity in their roles.
