NTPC Ltd., India’s leading integrated power utility, is set to organise the Indian Power Stations O&M Conference (IPS 2025) from February 13 to 15, 2025, in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

The annual event marks the anniversary of NTPC’s first thermal unit at Singrauli, commissioned in 1982, a milestone that laid the foundation for the company’s leadership in the power sector.

Union Minister for Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal, will inaugurate the conference, joined by senior officials from the Ministry of Power and PSUs in the sector.

A Special Edition Amid NTPC’s Golden Jubilee

With NTPC celebrating 50 years, this year’s conference is set to be more impactful than ever. IPS 2025 will bring together industry leaders, professionals, and experts to discuss key trends, share knowledge, and explore solutions for the evolving power landscape.

The theme for this year, ‘Reliable and Sustainable Generation, Asset Management, and Energy Transition,’ reflects the industry’s shift towards cleaner and more efficient energy solutions.

IPS 2025 has attracted significant participation, with over 400 authors submitting technical papers on innovations and best practices in power generation. Of these, 90 papers from leading organisations, regulatory bodies, universities, and global research institutions will be presented.

Techno Galaxy Exhibition: A Key Highlight

A major attraction at the conference will be the Techno Galaxy Exhibition, showcasing state-of-the-art technologies, AI-driven solutions, digital innovations, and advanced equipment from various vendors and manufacturers. NTPC’s regional headquarters will also present models and performance insights from different power stations.

By encouraging collaboration and knowledge-sharing, IPS 2025 aims to drive advancements in power generation, making it more efficient, sustainable, and future-ready.

NTPC’s Vision for a Greener Future

NTPC currently accounts for one-fourth of India’s power supply, with an installed capacity exceeding 77 GW and an additional 29.5 GW under construction, including 9.6 GW of renewable energy. The company is working towards achieving 60 GW of renewable energy by 2032.

Apart from power generation, NTPC has expanded into e-mobility, battery storage, pumped hydro, waste-to-energy, nuclear power, and green hydrogen. It has also participated in power distribution bids for Union Territories, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and sustainability in the energy sector.
