Udaipur: The picturesque city of Udaipur, Rajasthan, played host to the Inter-Regional Lawn Tennis Tournament organized by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Power, Government of India. The four-day tournament saw enthusiastic participation from across the country, with nine teams representing various POWERGRID regions showcasing their sporting spirit and athletic prowess.
Champions Crowned: Corporate Centre Takes Top Honors
In a spirited competition marked by camaraderie and healthy rivalry, the Corporate Centre team emerged victorious, lifting the Team Championship trophy. Close on their heels were Northern Region-I and North-Eastern Region, who secured the first and second runner-up positions respectively.
The event not only highlighted competitive play but also underscored POWERGRID’s commitment to employee fitness, wellness, and team-building through sports.

Doubles Category: Stiff Competition and Stellar Performances
In the Open Doubles category, the duo of Sh. R. K. Tyagi, CMD and Sh. V. S. Bhal, Executive Director (CMG-CC) claimed the top spot, displaying seamless coordination and strategic gameplay.
The first runner-up position was secured by Sh. D. Hari Kishore, Chief Manager (PMD), and Sh. Parvinder Malik, Chief Manager (CS), both representing the Corporate Centre. Meanwhile, Sh. Manish Lohani, Manager, RTAMC, and Sh. Devendra Singh Gaur, Junior Engineer (NR-I), took the second runner-up position.

Two special individual awards were also presented during the closing ceremony:
