IAS Kamini Chauhan Ratan Named As BPCL’s Nominee Director

She was Collector & District Magistrate in Baghpat, Sultanpur, Bulandshahr, Saharanpur and Meerut. She has been First Lady Collector of Baghpat and Meerut.

1997 batch IAS officer Kamini Chauhan Ratan has been appointed as nominee director of BPCL in its board meeting held on December 20. She is currently the Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

Kamini Chauhan Ratan is a senior IAS officer, graduated in Commerce as Topper from Delhi University and completed L.L.B. and L.LM. She has held various key positions in the Government of India. She had been Sub-Divisional Magistrate/Joint Magistrate in Agra, Ayodhya, Lucknow. She has worked as Chief Development Officer in Meerut & initiated several developmental activities in the District. She was Additional Secretary (Women & Child Development), Govt. of Madhya Pradesh & handled Mahila Vitt Evam Vikas Nigam, Madhya Pradesh in the capacity as Managing Director.

She was Collector & District Magistrate in Baghpat, Sultanpur, Bulandshahr, Saharanpur and Meerut. She has been First Lady Collector of Baghpat and Meerut.

Ms Kamini has been awarded National Award for the best District Electoral Officer by the Election Commission of India.

She was also head of the Department in Govt. of Uttar Pradesh in the capacity of Commissioner, Food Safety & Drug Administration, Inspector General (Registration) and Commissioner of Stamps, Commissioner (Commercial Taxes) and Commissioner (Entertainment Tax). She has been the First Lady Inspector General (Registration) and Commissioner of Stamps, U.P. and Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, U.P. She has served as Secretary, Dept. of Women & Child Development, Secretary (Finance), Secretary (Rural Development) in the State of Uttar Pradesh.

She has worked as Joint Secretary (Higher Education), Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India and has played a key role in the formulation of National Education Policy, 2020. She is not related to any of the Directors in the Company. She is also not debarred from holding office of the Director by virtue of any order passed by SEBI or any other such authority.

Smt. Yatinder Prasad, Government Nominee Director has ceased to be Director of the Company with effect from 20.12.2022.
