Chandigarh: The Punjab Government, under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has ordered the transfer and posting of eight IAS and nine PCS officers with immediate effect, in a significant bureaucratic reshuffle.
Key IAS Transfers
Alok Shekhar (1994 batch IAS)
Currently serving as Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner, Cooperation and Additional Chief Secretary, Home Affairs, and Nodal Officer for implementation of Criminal Laws in Punjab, he has now also been given the charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Finance, relieving IAS officer Krishan Kumar of the additional role.
Dhirendra Kumar Tiwari (1994 batch IAS)
Previously Additional Chief Secretary, Parliamentary Affairs, he is now appointed as-
- Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner, Excise
- Additional Chief Secretary, Good Governance & Information Technology
- Additional Chief Secretary, Parliamentary Affairs
He replaces IAS officer Shri Vikas Pratap in the new assignments.
Amandeep Kaur-II (2012 batch IAS)
Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Hoshiarpur, is now posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development), Amritsar, replacing PCS officer Amit Sareen.
Kanchan (2020 batch IAS)
Retains her current role as Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development), Bathinda, and is additionally appointed as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Bathinda, replacing IAS officer Shri Ajay Arora.

Formerly Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development), Amritsar, has been posted as Joint Secretary, Defence Services Welfare.
