Chandigarh: In a major administrative reshuffle, the Punjab Government has transferred 9 IAS and PCS officers with immediate effect. The move impacts several key departments, including Education, Revenue, Urban Development, and Youth Services.
According to the official order signed by Chief Secretary K.A.P. Sinha, IAS (batch 2011) Aravind Kumar M.K., Director, Treasury & Accounts, has been given additional charge as Director General, School Education, replacing Mr. Girish Dayalan (IAS, 2011). Dayalan has now been posted as Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Punjab.

Mr. Harpreet Singh Sudan (IAS, 2013) has been assigned the dual responsibility of Director, Sports & Youth Services and Director, Higher Education. In Urban Planning, Mr. Rakesh Kumar Popli (PCS, 2012) has been posted as Additional Chief Administrator of GMADA, SAS Nagar.
Other notable postings include Mr. Amit Sareen (PCS, 2012) who takes over as Secretary, Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board, and Mr. Ankur Mahindroo (PCS, 2016) who becomes SDM, Mukerian. Mr. Vikas Hira (PCS, 2016) has been appointed as Additional Chief Administrator, GLADA.

Smt. Harjot Kaur (PCS, 2022) has been shifted to SDM Patiala, while Mr. Gurdev Singh Dham (PCS, 2023) will now serve as Chief Minister’s Field Officer, Ferozepur.
These administrative changes have been undertaken on immediate administrative grounds, and the concerned officers have been directed to join their new postings without delay.
The transfer order highlights the state government’s strategic realignment of top-level officers to streamline governance and improve departmental efficiency.
