The Union Public Service Commission has opened the correction window for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2026 application form. Candidates who made errors while filling out the UPSC IAS form can make corrections online until March 3, 2026.

Applicants can edit their forms by visiting the official portal — upsconline.nic.in — and logging in with their credentials.

Corrections Only Through Online Mode

The Commission has clarified that modifications can be made strictly through online mode. Candidates must sign in using their login details, make the necessary changes in the specified fields, and resubmit the application form within the stipulated deadline.

No offline requests or alternative modes of correction will be accepted.

Prelims Scheduled for May 24, 2026

Aspirants preparing for the prestigious civil services are advised to intensify their preparation, as the UPSC CSE Preliminary Examination 2026 will be conducted on May 24, 2026, at designated centres across the country.

Admit cards will be released online a few days before the examination date on the official website. No admit cards will be sent via post or any offline mode.

Selection Process

The selection process for IAS and other civil services posts comprises three stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination
  2. Main Examination
  3. Interview (Personality Test)

Candidates who qualify the prelims by securing the prescribed cutoff will be eligible to appear for the mains. Those clearing the mains will be called for the interview round. A final merit list will be prepared based on performance in all stages, and appointments will be made according to rank and available vacancies.

A total of 933 vacancies are to be filled through this recruitment cycle.
