77th Republic Day: Punjab IPS Officers Receive President’s Medal, Police Force Recognised for Outstanding Service

Punjab Police Officers Honoured with President’s Medal, Meritorious Service Medals, and Chief Minister’s Rakshak Padak for Outstanding Contributions

Chandigarh: On the eve of the 77th Republic Day, three Punjab IPS officers were honoured with the prestigious President’s Medal for Distinguished Service. The awardees include:

  • ADGP (Investigation Lokpal): Vibhu Raj
  • Director, Bureau of Investigation: LK Yadav
  • ADGP (Jails): Arun Pal Singh

The awards recognize their exceptional service, dedication, and contribution to law enforcement in the state.

Medals for Meritorious Service

In addition, 15 officials including an IPS officer were awarded the Medal for Meritorious Service for their commendable work. The awardees include:

  • DIG (Security) Raj Bhawan: Jasdev Singh Sidhu
  • AIG (SSG): Randeep Singh Mann
  • DSP (AGTF): Rajan Parminder Singh
  • DSP (Vigilance Bureau): Navdeep Singh
  • ACP (PBI), Amritsar: Sapinder Kaur
  • DSP (SPU): Harinderdeep Singh

Other recipients include inspector Sukhjit Singh, inspector Harish Kumar, inspector Manjit Kaur, inspector Talwinder Singh, inspector Rajinder Kumar, inspector Pritpal Singh, SI Dharamjit Kaur, SI Bhupinder Singh, and ASI Swaranjit Kaur.

Punjab Director General of Police, Gaurav Yadav, congratulated all awardees and said the recognition would boost the morale of the entire police force.

Chief Minister’s Rakshak Padak Recipients

Five police officials were honoured with the Chief Minister’s Rakshak Padak for their outstanding service:

  • DSP Sunam, Udham Singh Wala: Harvinder Singh
  • Inspector: Nirmal Singh
  • Head Constable: Sukhmanpreet Singh
  • ASI: Balbir Chand
  • Senior Constable: Dharampal Singh

Chief Minister’s Medal for Outstanding Devotion to Duty

Four PPS officers and 15 other officials were selected for the Chief Minister’s Medal for Outstanding Devotion to Duty, recognizing exceptional dedication and commitment:

PPS Officers:

  • AIG (SPU): Baljit Singh
  • Faridkot SP (Headquarters): Manvinderbir Singh
  • DSP (Investigation): Daljit Singh
  • SP: Davinder Kumar

Other Recipients:

  • Inspectors: Mandeep Singh, Rushika, Prabhjot Kaur, Kulwant Singh, Sumit Mor, Pushvinder Singh
  • SIs: Gurpal Singh, Bhupinder Singh
  • ASIs: Gurjant Singh, Gurvir Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Kuljit Singh
  • HCs: Mandeep Singh, Sukhwinder Singh
  • Senior Constable: Anu Bala
