Madanapalli, Andhra Pradesh: On Sunday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the unveiling ceremony of a statue of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Madanapalli, Annamayya district, Andhra Pradesh. The event was organized by the Andhra Pradesh BJP as part of the ‘Atal-Modi Good Governance Yatra,’ and CM Dhami also addressed a public gathering.
Paying Tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee
CM Dhami expressed pride in attending the Yatra on the occasion of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth centenary. He described Vajpayee as a symbol of patriotism, democratic values, and humanistic principles. Highlighting Vajpayee’s contributions, Dhami mentioned landmark achievements during his leadership, including the Pokhran nuclear tests, the Golden Quadrilateral project, the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, and the telecommunications revolution.
He emphasized that Vajpayee’s tenure demonstrated the power of coalition governance, proving that diverse political parties could unite for national progress.
Linking Vajpayee’s Vision to PM Modi’s Leadership
CM Dhami drew parallels between Vajpayee’s vision and the present government under PM Narendra Modi. He highlighted initiatives such as Startup India, Make in India, Digital India, and Vocal for Local, which have strengthened India’s journey towards self-reliance. He also noted India’s remarkable progress in defense, space, and infrastructure, alongside nationwide connectivity, healthcare, and education reforms.
Dhami underscored the government’s efforts in preserving India’s cultural and religious heritage, citing projects like the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, Mahakaleshwar Lok in Ujjain, and the reconstruction of Badrinath and Kedarnath temples.
Celebrating Landmark Reforms and National Integration
The Chief Minister lauded historic reforms such as the abrogation of Article 370, Triple Talaq abolition, the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), and Waqf amendments, calling them steps toward a stronger, united India.
Recognizing Andhra Pradesh’s Development Initiatives
CM Dhami appreciated ongoing developmental initiatives in Andhra Pradesh under CM Chandrababu Naidu, including the Polavaram project, industrial cities, night vision factories, and semiconductor units. He noted that such projects are expanding the state’s growth horizons.
Uttarakhand’s Progress Inspired by Vajpayee
CM Dhami highlighted that Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s inspiration contributed to the formation of Uttarakhand. Under PM Modi’s guidance, the state has emerged as a leader in education, healthcare, startups, employment, and good governance. Dhami also mentioned key state-level reforms, including implementing a uniform civil code, anti-conversion laws, and stringent measures against land jihad.
