R K Tyagi who is currently serving as Director (Operations) at Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), has been appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of POWERGRID.
As per the order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday, December 15, 2023, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has given its approval to the Ministry of Power’s proposal for Mr. Tyagi’s appointment. He will assume the position from January 1, 2024, and the appointment is effective until March 31, 2026, which is the date of his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever occurs earlier.
