The order issued by the Department of Revenue (Ministry of Finance) specifies that DPC recommendations in respect of Ganesh Hanavur in a ‘sealed cover’ have been kept in abeyance for the panel year 2024. It further emphasizes that the promotion of the junior-most officer in the panel for the year 2024 would be on an ‘ad-hoc’ basis until the ‘sealed cover’ case pending against Hanavur is finalized, or a subsequent regular vacancy in the grade arises, whichever occurs earlier.
