Dehradun: The Rajaji Tiger Reserve (also sometimes referred to via the core Rajaji National Park) in Uttarakhand opens its gates annually for jungle safaris after the monsoon season. According to official data, the park remains open for visits from 15 November to 15 June, while it stays closed during the monsoon period due to safety and conservation considerations.
This year, the forest department has announced that adventure-seekers can begin safari registration ahead of the reopening, signalling the revival of immersive wildlife tours for the upcoming season.
What’s New in the 2025-26 Tiger Reserve to Resume Jungle Safari Season
Starting 15 November 2025, safari bookings across multiple zones will go live. The official page confirms that some zones (like Jhilmil) already open earlier for limited access.
The online booking portal is fully functional, allowing visitors to select zones, timeslots (morning or evening), number of guests and special safari sessions.
The park re-emphasises rules for visitor safety and wildlife conservation: stay in vehicles, avoid loud noises, respect timing and zones.

Zones to Explore: Chilla, Motichur, Ranipur, Chillawali: These are some of the prime safari zones that open for the season.
