In a major administrative overhaul, the Rajasthan government led by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma executed a long-pending bureaucratic reshuffle late Sunday night, transferring 62 IAS officers, including 11 district collectors. The high-level reshuffle touches several key departments and marks a generational shift in the state’s top administrative leadership.
Key Changes at the Top
Akhil Arora, who had been handling the finance portfolio since the previous Congress government, has been shifted to Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Public Health Engineering Department (PHED).
Vaibhav Galriya, previously heading Urban Development and Housing (UDH), replaces Arora as Principal Secretary, Finance, Excise & Taxation.
Anand Kumar, ACS (Home), has been moved to ACS, Forest, Environment and Climate Change. He is replaced by Bhaskar A. Sawant, formerly with PHED.
Aparna Arora, earlier in charge of Forest and Environment, is now ACS, Social Justice & Empowerment.
CM’s Team & Key Secretariats See Moves
Ajitabh Sharma, who led the state’s industrial promotion efforts including the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ summit, has been moved to Principal Secretary, Energy.
Alok Gupta, Principal Secretary to CM, gets additional charge of Industries and MSME.
Shikhar Agrawal, ACS to CM, has been assigned additional charge of RIICO.

Debashish Prusty is the new Principal Secretary, Urban Development and Housing (UDH).
Rukmini Riyar, JMC-Greater Commissioner, has been appointed Commissioner, Tourism.
Gaurav Saini will replace her as JMC-Greater Commissioner.
Arun Hasija, Commissioner, JMC-Heritage, is transferred to District Collector, Rajsamand.
Nidhi Patel (2018 batch), who was awaiting posting, has been appointed Commissioner, JMC-Heritage and CEO, Jaipur Smart City.

Sandeep Verma, CMD, Rajasthan State Warehousing Corporation, now becomes ACS, Skills, Entrepreneurship & Employment.
Kuldeep Ranka, former Principal Secretary to CM, has been transferred to Higher and Technical Education.
Subodh Agarwal (1988 batch), Rajasthan’s senior-most IAS officer, now becomes Chairman & MD, Rajasthan Financial Corporation.
Kunji Lal Meena, Chairman, Indira Gandhi Nahar Board, is now ACS, Tribal Area Development.
Rajesh Yadav, Principal Secretary, LSG, has been moved to Department of Tourism, Art, Literature & Culture.
