Jaipur: In a significant administrative move, the Rajasthan government has transferred and assigned new responsibilities to five IPS officers, all from the 2016 batch, following their recent promotion. The Department of Personnel (DoP) issued the transfer orders on Tuesday afternoon, and they come into immediate effect.
The reshuffle reflects the government’s intent to place young and capable officers in strategically important positions across the state, particularly in Jaipur and Kota, two major urban centers.

As per the official order, the newly transferred IPS officers and their respective postings are –
Piyush Dixit (2016 Batch)
- Appointed as Superintendent of Police (Security), Jaipur
- Will oversee the security of the Chief Minister, Governor, and other VVIPs.
Vishna Ram Binshnoi (2016 Batch)
- Appointed as Superintendent of Police-I, CID Crime Branch, Jaipur
- Will handle investigations of serious and complex criminal cases.
Pushpendra Singh Rathore (2016 Batch)
- Appointed as Superintendent of Police-II, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Jaipur
- A crucial role responsible for probing corruption-related offences.
Kamal Shekhawat (2016 Batch)
- Appointed as Superintendent of Police, Vigilance, Jaipur
- Will deal with disciplinary and internal vigilance matters within the police force.
Avnish Kumar Sharma (2016 Batch)
- Appointed as Commandant, 2nd Battalion, Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC), Kota
- Will be responsible for law and order enforcement and battalion operations in Kota.
Strategic Focus on Jaipur and Kota
Three of the five officers have been posted in Jaipur, indicating the government’s focus on strengthening the security apparatus and investigative mechanisms in the state capital. Meanwhile, Kota, Rajasthan’s second major city, sees the appointment of a new RAC Commandant, aiming to bolster law and order.
