Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd Appoints Mr. Shivakumar Subramaniam as CMD Until July 2030

New Delhi: The Board of Directors of Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd (RCFL) has approved the appointment of Mr. Shivakumar Subramaniam as the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), effective from February 13, 2026, until his superannuation on July 31, 2030, or until further orders.

With this appointment, the additional charge previously held by Ms. Nazhat J. Shaikh as acting CMD has ceased.

Leadership Transition Approved by RCFL Board

The RCFL Board convened on February 13, 2026, from 5:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. to finalize key leadership appointments. During the meeting, Mr. Shivakumar Subramaniam’s appointment as CMD was formally approved, following directives from the Department of Fertilizers, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India.

Profile of the New CMD

Mr. Shivakumar Subramaniam is a seasoned professional with over 27 years of experience in the fertilizer industry. His educational qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce
  • MBA in Finance
  • Certified Costing Module-Consultant

He began his career at RCFL in 1998 as Senior Officer (Finance) and has extensive experience in:

  • Treasury and Taxation
  • Corporate Accounts and Financial Strategy
  • Fertilizer Policy and Subsidy Management
  • Ministry Coordination
  • Project evaluation, financing, and joint venture investments

His appointment underscores RCFL’s focus on experienced leadership to drive strategic growth in the fertilizer sector.

Cessation of Previous Additional Charge

With Mr. Shivakumar assuming charge, the additional responsibility held by Ms. Nazhat J. Shaikh as acting CMD has formally ended as of February 13, 2026. The Board confirmed no related-party concerns or regulatory issues regarding the new appointment.
