Bengaluru: BEML Limited, a prominent engineering and manufacturing PSU under the Ministry of Defence, has announced its financial results for the fourth quarter and full fiscal year ended March 31, 2025, showcasing record-breaking profitability despite a marginal dip in annual revenues.
Q4 FY25: Strong Financial Upswing
In the fourth quarter of FY25, BEML reported a net profit of ₹288 crore, a 12% increase from ₹257 crore in Q4 FY24. Revenue from operations rose 6% to ₹1,653 crore, while EBITDA surged 14% to ₹427 crore. Profit before tax climbed to ₹395 crore, up from ₹348 crore in the same quarter last year.
FY25 Full-Year Highlights: Record Net Profit
For the entire fiscal year, the company posted a net profit of ₹294 crore, the highest in its history, marking a 4% rise from ₹283 crore in FY24. EBITDA stood at ₹531 crore, up 9%, with EBITDA margin improving to 13.20% from 11.98% a year earlier. While annual revenue dipped slightly to ₹4,022 crore (from ₹4,054 crore), improved operational efficiency significantly boosted overall profitability.
CMD Statement: New Plants and Vision for Growth
Commenting on the results, BEML Chairman and Managing Director said, “Our strong FY25 performance reflects BEML’s focus on operational excellence, innovation, and nation-building. We have secured land in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh for new facilities in Rail & Metro and Mining & Construction equipment, which will enhance our capacity and strengthen India’s self-reliance in manufacturing.”
Strategic Investments and Expansion Plans
BEML continues to deepen its footprint across defence, metro rail, aerospace, and electric mining equipment. Aligned with the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, BEML is also:
Advancing ₹73.76 crore to the MAMC consortium (a joint venture with Coal India Ltd and Damodar Valley Corporation) for acquiring assets of the defunct Mining & Allied Machinery Corporation Ltd.
Investing ₹605.38 crore into a subsidiary, MAMC Industries Ltd, created for this joint venture.
Contributing ₹61.25 lakh to System Testing and Research for Advanced Materials Foundations, a Section 8 company, with 20,000 equity shares already allotted and the remainder pending.
