Result: GAIL Reports Q1 FY26 Revenue of Rs34,792 Crore, PAT at Rs1,886 Crore

GAIL reports Q1 FY26 revenue of ₹34,792 crore and PAT of ₹1,886 crore. Focus remains on infrastructure growth, sustainability, and operational efficiency.

New Delhi: GAIL (India) Limited, the country’s leading natural gas company, has announced its financial results for the first quarter of FY 2025–26, registering Revenue from Operations of ₹34,792 crore and a Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹1,886 crore.

The company’s Profit Before Tax (PBT) for the quarter stood at ₹2,533 crore, compared to ₹3,642 crore in Q1 FY25. The PAT declined from ₹2,724 crore in the same period last year.

On a quarter-on-quarter basis, revenue dipped slightly from ₹35,707 crore in Q4 FY25, while PAT also saw a moderate decline from ₹2,049 crore. Similarly, PBT for Q1 FY26 was ₹2,533 crore compared to ₹2,701 crore in Q4 FY25.

On a consolidated basis, GAIL reported Revenue from Operations at ₹35,429 crore in Q1 FY26 versus ₹36,551 crore in the previous quarter. Consolidated PBT stood at ₹3,029 crore and PAT (excluding non-controlling interest) at ₹2,369 crore in Q1 FY26, compared to ₹3,240 crore and ₹2,492 crore respectively in Q4 FY25.

Capex and Expansion Initiatives

GAIL Chairman & Managing Director Sandeep Kumar Gupta stated that the company incurred a capital expenditure of ₹3,176 crore during Q1 FY26, primarily in pipelines, petrochemicals, and equity contributions to joint ventures.

He also highlighted a major infrastructure development — PNGRB’s approval for the capacity expansion of the Jamnagar-Loni LPG pipeline from 3.25 MMTPA to 6.5 MMTPA. The ₹5,000 crore project is expected to be completed within three years and aims to significantly reduce CO₂ emissions, road accidents, and leakages.

Sustainability Recognition

In a notable achievement, GAIL has been included in the FTSE4Good Index Series for the seventh consecutive year, reflecting its strong Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance and commitment to sustainability.

Despite a dip in profits, GAIL continues to focus on long-term strategic growth through infrastructure investments, sustainability efforts, and operational efficiency.
