Retd IAS Officers Amit Khare and Tarun Kapoor Reappointed as Advisors to PM Modi for 2 Years

The Appointments Committee of Cabinet approved the proposal for the reappointment of two retired IAS officers, namely Mr. Amit Khare (1985 batch officer from Bihar cadre) and Mr. Tarun Kapoor (1987 batch officer from Himachal Pradesh cadre), as advisors to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The same was conveyed by a circular issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), which mentioned that the officers have been appointed in the rank and scale of Secretary to the Government of India (on a contract basis) for two years with effect from June 10 or until further orders, whichever transpires earlier.
