Retired IAS officer Dr. Hasmukh Adhia has been appointed as Chairman and Director on the Board of Directors of Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited. Through an exchange of file, the company informed that the Gujarat government has approved this appointment.
Dr. Adhia is a Gujarat cadre IAS officer of 1981 batch. He has degree in M.Corn. (Adv. Busi. Mangt.) PG Diploma in Public Policy & Management (IIM) (Gold Medalist), and Ph.D. in Yoga. The officer has great experience as he worked in various capacities covering a very wide spectrum of government departments, both at State and Central levels.
Presently, he is Principal Advisor to Chief Minister of Gujarat and has worked as Union Finance Secretary and Revenue Secretary in Government of India. He is at present non-executive Chairman of Bank of Baroda, and is also the Chancellor of Central University of Gujarat.
He also serves as a member of Board of Governors of Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and Vice President in Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute (GERMI) and Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar.
