Retired IAS officer Mr. G Malsur (1990 batch) has been appointed as the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) to the Chief Minister of Telangana. The state government issued formal orders announcing his new role, entrusting him with the responsibility of managing the Chief Minister’s public communication and media relations.
Mr. Malsur, a seasoned administrator, brings with him a wealth of experience from various departments. Prior to his retirement, he served in key roles within the Irrigation and Mining sectors. He was notably the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Telangana State Mineral Development Corporation (TSMDC), where he played a pivotal role in shaping mineral policies and promoting sustainable mining.
He also served as the Project Director of the Water Sector Improvement Project (WSIP), contributing to crucial irrigation infrastructure and reforms in the sector. Additionally, Mr. Malsur briefly held the post of Director of Industries, Commerce & Export Promotion, adding to his diverse administrative portfolio.
His appointment as CPRO is seen as a strategic move to strengthen the Chief Minister’s outreach and communication channels, leveraging his administrative insight and experience across multiple departments.
