RRVPNL Sanctions Rs 42.23 Crore Contract for Construction of New 132 kV Grid Sub-Station in Rajasthan

New Delhi/Rajasthan: RMC Switchgears, a leading switchgear engineering company, has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (RRVPNL) for the construction of a new 132 kV Grid Sub-Station at Kalyanpur in the Balotra district. The contract, valued at Rs 42.23 crore, will be executed under a Supply, Erection, Testing, and Commissioning (ETC) model and is expected to be completed within 18 months.

Project Scope and Details

The project encompasses a comprehensive scope of work, including:

  • Supply of all necessary equipment and materials for the sub-station.
  • Erection work, including civil construction and installation of switchgear components.
  • Testing and commissioning of the complete system to ensure operational readiness.
  • Integration of all associated lines and bays for seamless power transmission.

This project is a significant addition to RMC Switchgears’ portfolio, which focuses on delivering engineering, construction, and installation (ECI) solutions for the power distribution and transmission sector.

Financial Performance of RMC Switchgears

The LOI win comes on the back of strong financial performance by the company in Q2 FY26:

  • Net Profit: Rs 19.15 crore, up 87.9% year-on-year.
  • Revenue from Operations: Rs 241.09 crore, an increase of 130.1% year-on-year.

Despite the positive developments, RMC Switchgears’ shares experienced a minor decline, falling 2.18% to Rs 544 on the BSE following the announcement.
