New Delhi: The Ministry of Railways has approved the deputation of Mr. Himansu Badoni (IRSE), presently serving as Senior Deputy General Manager (SDGM/PRYJ) in the North Central Railway, to Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL) as Chief Project Manager (Civil). The appointment is for a period of five years or until further government instructions, whichever is earlier.
Role and Purpose of the Deputation
Mr. Badoni is known for his extensive experience in managing complex, large-scale civil engineering projects within the Railways. His transfer to RVNL is expected to significantly contribute to the timely execution of ongoing and upcoming infrastructure projects.
The Ministry aims to utilise his expertise to accelerate the pace of civil works, strengthen project oversight, and address challenges faced in project implementation across various zones.
Special Approval and Conditions
This deputation is subject to a special government approval, as RVNL’s request includes relaxing the standard rule that requires immediate absorption or employment. Mr. Badoni will be relieved from his current assignment only after formal orders from the competent authority.
Upon completion of the deputation period, he will return to his parent cadre unless an extension is granted in writing.
Official Notification
The official order approving the deputation was issued by Ravi Shekhar, Joint Secretary (D), Railway Board. Copies of the communication have been circulated to senior officials, including the Chairman and Managing Director of RVNL and key members of the Railway Board, ensuring coordination for a smooth transition.
