On Independence Day, Sambhal Superintendent of Police Mr. Krishna Kumar Bishnoi (2018-batch IPS officer), STF Deputy SP Mr. Pramesh Shukla, and female constable Ms. Priyanshi Prajapati of Agra Police Commissionerate were awarded the Chief Minister’s Excellent Service Medal for outstanding contributions in law enforcement. Mr Bishnoi is the only IPS officer from Uttar Pradesh to receive this prestigious honor this year, recognized for his honesty, dedication, and effective crime control.
Landmark actions against mafias and organized crime
Under the leadership of SP Bishnoi, properties worth over Rs. 800 crores of various mafia and criminal elements have been confiscated. He has been instrumental in controlling communal violence in Sambhal, seizing illegal assets of notorious criminals like Yogesh Bhadaura, Bhupendra Bafer, Vinod Upadhyay, Rajan Tiwari, Jawahar Yadav, and Kamlesh Yadav. Since January 18, 2025, 68 arrests have been made in 17 cases, including the exposure of a decade-long insurance fraud gang that defrauded more than Rs. 100 crores. Additionally, 27 tractors purchased through fraudulent insurance and finance documents were recovered from states including Odisha, West Bengal, Assam, and Maharashtra.
Tough policing legacy and crime prevention
During his training in Meerut, Mr Bishnoi had demolished the mansion of notorious gangster Badan Singh Baddo, establishing a reputation for strict enforcement against mafias. Over his career, he has taken decisive action against the drug network, land mafias, and other organized crime syndicates, including the confiscation of properties worth Rs. 416 crore (Jawahar Yadav), Rs. 195 crore (Kamlesh Yadav), and Rs. 103 crore (Abhishek Yadav).
Recognizing excellence in women officers and STF achievements
Ms Priyanshi Prajapati has distinguished herself by winning 1 silver medal in the All India Police Competition, 2 gold medals in national events, and 1 gold medal in the 50 kg weight category at the Asian Championship in Vietnam. Meanwhile, STF Deputy SP Mr. Pramesh Shukla received the medal for successfully dismantling the illegal conversion syndicate run by Jamaluddin alias Changur Shah in Balrampur.
These awards highlight Uttar Pradesh’s commitment to fostering professional excellence, integrity, and development within its police force, enhancing law and order while inspiring future officers.
