Zuarinagar, Goa: The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has successfully concluded its 10th Green Ammonia auction under the SIGHT Scheme (Mode 2A). The tariff was discovered at ₹62.84 per kilogram, marking a significant step in scaling India’s green hydrogen and ammonia ecosystem.
Strengthening India’s Green Energy Push
Paradeep Phosphates Limited (PPL) secured an annual allocation of 25,000 tonnes of green ammonia at Zuarinagar. The winning bid was awarded to M/s ACME Cleantech Solutions Private Limited, one of India’s leading renewable energy developers. This partnership strengthens the transition to clean fuels in the fertiliser sector, which remains one of the largest consumers of ammonia.
Goa Joins the Clean Energy Map
With this development, Goa joins other states such as Odisha, Gujarat, and Andhra Pradesh in adopting green ammonia solutions. The move highlights the growing momentum of India’s clean molecule transition, ensuring energy security while reducing dependency on fossil-based feedstock.
A Deliberate and Steady Transition
SECI’s auction outcomes demonstrate industry confidence and a deliberate, phased approach towards adopting green fuels. The expansion of such projects will not only decarbonise industries but also open avenues for sustainable employment and regional development across participating states.
