Understanding Paste Filling Technology
Paste Filling Technology is a modern, environmentally responsible mining method where underground voids are filled with a specially prepared paste made from mine waste, fly ash, and cementitious materials. The technique offers multiple benefits:
- Improves underground mine stability and safety
- Reduces disposal of surface waste
- Protects local water bodies and minimizes land degradation
- Supports sustainable mining practices
By adopting this cutting-edge technology at Singhali UG Mine, SECL strengthens Coal India’s vision for safe, innovative, and sustainable coal mining, paving the way for a greener future in the industry.
