The government of Arunachal Pradesh has recently transferred seven senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and given them postings in locations outside the state. Notable among the transferees are the Planning Secretary, Mr. Rajendra Kumar Sharma (2010 batch), who has been posted to Goa, and Tourism, Civil Aviation and the Vigilance Secretary, Mr. Swapnil M Naik (2009 batch), now assigned to Chandigarh.
Other key officials affected by the reshuffle include Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) Secretary, IAS D Verma and East Kameng Deputy Commissioner, IAS Sachin Rana (2014 batch), both of whom have been transferred to Delhi. Land Management Secretary, IAS Audesh Kumar Singh (2010 batch) has been transferred to Goa, and IAS S D Sundaresan has been moved to Puducherry.
Former East Kameng Deputy Commissioner, IAS Gaurav Singh Rajawat (2011 batch), previously posted in Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, returns to Arunachal in this reshuffle. Several junior officers, including IAS Sonalika Jiwani and Patil Pranjal from the 2017 AGMUT batch, have also been transferred to the state.
In addition to the IAS reshuffle, senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, including IGPs– Mr. Tusar Taba, Mr. Hibu Tamang, and Mr. P N Khrimey, have been reassigned to Arunachal. Other IPS officers who moved to the state include Mr. Mangesh Kashyap (2009 batch), Dr. Joy Nathaniel Tirkey (2011), and Mr. Suman Nalwa (2011).
