Uttarakhand CM Tirath Singh Rawat has appointed ex-IAS Shatrughna Singh as his Principal Advisor. The 1983 batch officer Singh also served as the state chief secretary in the past and was previously posted as the Chief Information Commissioner of the state.
On Tuesday, he resigned form the post of Chief Information Commissioner and handed over the charge of his office to State Information Commissioner J P Mamgai. In his certificate of charge he said, ‘My resignation has been accepted by the Governor with immediate effect and I have been relieved of my duties.’
