New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has officially advertised a key board-level vacancy for the post of Director (Finance) at Shipping Corporation of India Limited (SCI), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.
Key Role and Responsibilities
The Director (Finance) will serve as a member of the Board of Directors and will report directly to the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of SCI. The role involves strategic oversight and leadership in matters related to corporate financial management, planning, budgeting, and accounting within the organization.
Current Incumbency & Transition
At present, Mr. Vikram Dinghley, Director (Technical and Offshore Services), is holding the additional charge of Director (Finance). His current tenure extends until December 31, 2025. The vacancy for a full-time Director (Finance) will officially arise on April 1, 2026, following the scheduled superannuation of Mr. C.I. Acharya, who has been serving in this role since June 2022.
Eligibility Criteria
- As per the PESB notification, applicants must have:
- A minimum of five years of cumulative experience at a senior level in the last ten years.
The experience should specifically be in the area of Corporate Financial Management or Corporate Accounts in a reputed organization.
