New Delhi: In a key bureaucratic reshuffle, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved two significant appointments involving officers from the Indian Economic Service (IES) and the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS).
Simmi Chaudhary Appointed Financial Adviser, KVIC
Simmi Chaudhary (IES: 1996), currently serving as Economic Adviser in the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), has been given additional charge of Financial Adviser (FA) at the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Mumbai.
As per the ACC order issued on October 16, 2025, she will hold this JS-level position for six months starting July 12, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Pankaj Kumar’s Tenure as CVO, CCL Extended
In another development, the tenure of Pankaj Kumar (IRTS: 2007), serving as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) at Central Coalfields Ltd. (CCL), Ranchi, has been extended for two years beyond December 13, 2025, up to December 13, 2027.
These decisions reflect ongoing efforts to ensure continuity and expertise in critical financial and vigilance roles across ministries and public sector units.
