The state Government of Gujarat transferred six IPS officers on Friday.
- Joint Commissioner of Police, Crime dept. Amit Vishwakarma was transferred to the post of IGP (operations).
- Additional Commissioner of Police (Special Branch) Prem Vir Singh was appointed as Additional Commissioner of Police (crime).
- Arun Kumar Verma (IPS 1987 batch, Gujarat cadre) has been promoted and transferred as DGP (Prevention of Atrocities on SC/ST and Weaker Section), Gandhi Nagar.
- V Chandrasekhar, previously IGP (P&M) has been posted as the IGP, Ahmedabad Range.
- N N Komar will now hold the charge of IGP (P&M)
