Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has emphasized that the strength of the Indian economy lies in its small and cottage industries, describing them as the backbone of national development. Addressing the inauguration of the newly constructed state office of Laghu Udyog Bharati at Govindpura Industrial Area, Dr. Yadav underlined the importance of balanced industrial growth across the country.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the office building ‘Udyam Setuka,’ built at a cost of Rs. 4 crore, amid Vedic chanting. The inauguration was accompanied by the bi-annual regional conference of Laghu Udyog Bharati and the Startup and Small Entrepreneur Maha Kumbh-2025. On this occasion, Dr. Yadav also released the organization’s new brochure.
New Provisions to Support MSMEs
Dr. Yadav announced a key reform for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Once institutional or bank loans are repaid, mortgaged properties will be freed from encumbrances immediately. He assured that all required permissions for establishing MSMEs will be provided within a fixed time frame under a time-bound action plan.
The Chief Minister also highlighted policy provisions offering subsidies for new ITI, Polytechnic, and Engineering Colleges, alongside measures to promote research in partnership with institutions like IIT Udaipur. He reaffirmed that the state government stands firmly with small industries to revive them and strengthen the economy.
Small Industries as Pillars of Development
According to Dr. Yadav, India’s six crore MSMEs contribute over 30 percent to GDP and account for nearly 45 percent of exports. Calling them the “biggest job creators,” he stressed that MSMEs are the true bridge connecting skilled hands to global markets.
He added that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s initiatives like “Make in India” and “Vocal for Local” underline the critical role of small industries in building a self-reliant India. Dr. Yadav further urged industrialists to embrace technology, e-commerce, and skill development to expand their reach. He particularly lauded the contribution of women entrepreneurs in driving small-scale industries and empowering families socially and economically.
Swadeshi Spirit and Sustainable Growth
Dr. Krishna Gopal, the keynote speaker, stated that small industries not only generate employment but also protect India’s social fabric. Unlike large industries, these enterprises are environmentally friendly as they do not emit carbon. He highlighted the need to revive the spirit of Swadeshi, urging respect for artisans and adherence to tax compliance as the foundation of development.

The program was also addressed by Mr. Chaitanya Kashyap, Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Bhopal District In-charge; Mr. Ghanshyam Ojha, National President of Laghu Udyog Bharati; and Mr. Rajesh Mishra, State President of Laghu Udyog Bharati.
