Mysuru: A social activist, Snehamayi Krishna, who had earlier filed a complaint that triggered an inquiry by the Karnataka Lokayukta Police into the alleged Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam involving family members of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, has now lodged a formal complaint against the IPS officials handling the investigation.
The complaint, submitted to the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), alleges that IPS officers Manish Kabrikar (Additional Director General of Police), Subramaneyshwara Rao (Inspector General of Police), and T J Udesh (then Lokayukta Superintendent of Police in Mysuru) appeared to have acted under undue pressure during the probe registered under case number 11/24 at the Lokayukta Police Station in Mysuru.
Snehamayi Krishna stated that he had initially submitted the complaint to the CVC on March 12, 2025, but only recently received confirmation from the commission on Monday that the complaint has been officially registered and is under review.
The complaint specifically calls for the CVC to investigate whether the IPS officials yielded to pressure from Siddaramaiah’s family, thereby compromising the integrity of the investigation into the MUDA scam.
This development adds a new dimension to the ongoing controversy surrounding the alleged scam, intensifying scrutiny on the role of law enforcement officials and the influence of political leadership in sensitive investigations.
