Singapore: In a firm display of India’s maritime outreach and commitment to the Indo-Pacific, four Indian Naval ships of the Eastern Fleet—INS Delhi, Shakti, Satpura, and Kiltan—successfully concluded a strategic port call to Singapore from 16–19 July 2025. The deployment forms a vital part of the Indian Navy’s operational push across Southeast Asia, under the leadership of Rear Admiral Susheel Menon, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet (FOCEF).
Bilateral Engagements and Naval Diplomacy
During the visit, FOCEF Rear Admiral Susheel Menon engaged in high-level interactions, calling on the High Commissioner of India to Singapore and the Fleet Commander of the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN). Discussions focused on bolstering naval cooperation, enhancing joint readiness, and expanding maritime collaboration between the two nations.
In an insightful engagement with the academic community, the Admiral also shared the Indian Navy’s perspectives on regional maritime security and strategic developments in the Indo-Pacific.
Honouring Shared History

In a poignant tribute, Commanding Officers of the deployed ships took part in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Kranji War Memorial. The solemn event honoured the memory of Indian soldiers who laid down their lives during World War II, reinforcing the shared legacy between India and Singapore.
