In a significant administrative reshuffle in Telangana, the A Revanth Reddy led state government has transferred and posted six IAS officers, as Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari issued a new set of transfer orders. The changes are set to impact several key positions within the state administration.
2010 batch IAS officer Amrapali Kata, who was previously serving as the Joint Commissioner of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), has been appointed as the new Commissioner of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
This move also results in her relinquishing the additional responsibility of Managing Director of the Musi River Development Corporation Ltd. (MRDCL), a role now assigned to M. Dana Kishore, IAS (1996). Kishore, who was the Principal Secretary in the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA & UD) department, will now also oversee MRDCL.
Sarfaraz Ahmad, an IAS officer of 2009 batch and the Metropolitan Commissioner of HMDA, will now take on the additional role of Managing Director of Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL). This appointment relieves Amrapali Kata of her duties at HGCL, a position she held prior to her latest appointment.
Further, Kota Sreevatsa, IAS (2017), currently serving as the Additional Commissioner of GHMC, has been transferred to the position of Joint Commissioner of HMDA, stepping into the role previously held by Amrapali Kata.
Chahat Bajpai, IAS (2019), who has been awaiting a new posting, has been appointed as the Municipal Commissioner of Karimnagar Municipal Corporation. Additionally, Mayank Mittal, IAS (2020), who was the Additional Collector (Local Bodies) of Narayanpet, has been transferred to become the Executive Director of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB).
