New Delhi: THDC India Limited has marked a significant step forward in the execution of the 444 MW Vishnugad Pipalkoti Hydro Electric Project (VPHEP) with the commencement of spillway radial gate erection at Dam Block No. 4 on 19 December 2025. The activity began with the first-stage embedment of the radial gate in the overflow section, marking the initiation of a critical phase in the installation of hydro-mechanical systems.

Mr. Sipan Kumar Garg, Chairman and Managing Director of THDC India Limited, congratulated the project team, stating that the commencement of radial gate erection at an elevation of 1229.58 metres reflects steady advancement in executing vital project components. He highlighted that this milestone reinforces the momentum of the project and showcases systematic progress across all construction phases.
