New Delhi: The Central Government has announced the appointment of Taruli Dilip Bhavsar (IRS-IT:2015) and Dr. Pooja Joshi (IAS:2011:AGMUT) as senior officials in the Tribal Co-Operative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED) in Mumbai and Bengaluru-South, respectively.
The appointments aim to strengthen tribal empowerment initiatives in Maharashtra and Karnataka.
Taruli Bhavsar Appointed DGM, TRIFED Mumbai
As per an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Taruli Bhavsar has been appointed as Deputy General Manager (Level-13) in TRIFED, Mumbai, under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, on a deputation basis.
Tenure: Four years from the date of assuming charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Current Cadre: Indian Revenue Service – Income Tax (2015 batch).
Post Type: Non-Central Staffing Scheme (Non-CSS).
She is expected to immediately take charge of her new assignment and will be relieved from her current duties accordingly.
In her new role, Bhavsar will lead efforts to empower tribal communities in the Maharashtra region through marketing support, value addition, and trade facilitation under TRIFED’s national mandate.
Dr. Pooja Joshi Appointed GM, TRIFED Bengaluru-South
In a parallel appointment, Dr Pooja Joshi, IAS officer of the 2011 AGMUT cadre, has been named General Manager (Level-13) in TRIFED Bengaluru-South.
Tenure: Up to September 30, 2026, the date of her superannuation, or until further orders.
Post Type: Non-CSS deputation post.
Relieving: She will be released from her current duties immediately.
Dr. Joshi will head strategic initiatives in Karnataka focused on value addition to tribal products, institutionalizing Minor Forest Produce (MFP) trade, and expanding market access for tribal goods under the TRIFED umbrella.
