New Delhi: Dr Kulwant Singh (IPS: 2013: TR) has been appointed as Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D) for a period of five years.
According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Monday, May 19, 2025, the appointment has been approved on a deputation basis, effective from the date Dr Singh assumes charge of his new position or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Currently serving as the Superintendent of Police (Economic Offences) in the Crime Branch of Tripura Police, Dr. Singh brings a wealth of experience to his new role. As per the official website of the Tripura Police, Dr. Singh has been instrumental in handling complex economic offences in the state.
In its order, the MHA has directed the Tripura state government to relieve Dr. Singh immediately to facilitate his transition to the new assignment at the Centre.
