The Union Home Ministry has released the updated seniority list of nine Indian Police Service (IPS) officers belonging to the Jharkhand cadre. This is the second release of the list, issued under Rule-10 of the IPS (Probation) Rules, 1954, and prepared in consultation with the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad.

A letter in this regard was sent by Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Under Secretary in the Home Ministry, to the Chief Secretary of Jharkhand. The list includes IPS officers from the 2017 and 2018 batches. The ministry has given all concerned officers one month’s time to file any objections or requests for amendments, if needed.
Officers from the 2017 batch:
Mr. Kumar Gaurav, Mr. Rakesh Ranjan, Ms. Reshma Remation, Mr. Vineet Kumar, and Mr. Harish Bin Jama.
Officers from the 2018 batch:
Mr. K. Vijay Shankar, Mr. Harvinder Singh, Mr. Mukesh Lunayat, and Mr. Manoj Swargyari.
The seniority list plays a crucial role in determining future postings, promotions, and responsibilities of these officers.
