IAS officer Pankaj Dixit (2011-batch, Bihar cadre), who is currently serving as the Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions, Dr. Jitendra Singh, at the Deputy Secretary level, has been re-designated to the post of Director.
This re-designation was approved by the competent authority through an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday, February 1, 2025. The new designation will take effect from January 1, 2025, or the date of assumption of charge, whichever is later. The re-designation will be valid until July 7, 2029, or until Mr. Dixit ceases to function as Private Secretary to Dr. Jitendra Singh, whichever occurs earlier. Mr. Dixit began his central deputation tenure on July 8, 2024.
In addition to his responsibilities in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions, Dr. Jitendra Singh also holds multiple other significant portfolios, including Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministries of Science and Technology, Earth Sciences, and as Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, the Department of Atomic Energy, and the Department of Space.
