Lucknow— Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized on Thursday that the concept of inclusive and holistic development is central to realizing the vision of a Developed Uttar Pradesh and a Developed India. Speaking in the State Assembly during a special 24-hour continuous session on “Viksit Bharat – Viksit Uttar Pradesh, Aatmanirbhar Bharat – Aatmanirbhar Uttar Pradesh”, the CM linked the state’s aspirations to the national goal of transforming India by 2047.
“The idea of a developed India will only be achieved when each state fulfills its role in that mission,” Adityanath said, noting that UP is no longer just a populous state, but a representative of India’s cultural legacy and a hub of national energy.
Vision 2047 Linked to India’s Future
The Assembly session, which began on Wednesday, was held to discuss the ‘Vision 2047’ document, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve to make India a developed nation by the time the country celebrates 100 years of independence in 2047.
“This uninterrupted discussion for more than 24 hours is a part of that vision — one that will move the idea of a developed India forward,” Adityanath remarked.
He extended gratitude to both ruling and opposition members for participating in the debate and reinforcing the democratic process through meaningful discourse.
Targeting the Opposition with Poetry and Sarcasm
In a mix of sharp political critique and poetic expression, the Chief Minister responded to comments raised by opposition leaders. Referring to the Leader of the Opposition, he remarked:
“The Leader of the Opposition is a senior and experienced figure. When he speaks from his own conscience, his words are accurate. But when he becomes a mouthpiece for others, he starts remembering irrelevant things — like chickens.”
Adding a poetic jab, Adityanath recited:
“Bada haseen hai inki zubaan ka jaadu, lagakar aag bahaaron ki baat karte hain.
Jinhone raat mein chun-chun ke bastiyan looti, wahi naseebon ke maaron ki baat karte hain.”
(“Their words are charming, but they talk of spring after setting fire to everything.
Those who looted settlements at night, now speak for the unfortunate.”)
UP’s Role in National Development
Highlighting Uttar Pradesh’s growing national influence, Adityanath recalled Prime Minister Modi’s praise during the 2023 Global Investors Summit, where Modi described UP as a symbol of hope for India’s development.
“If India is seen as a prime destination globally today, then Uttar Pradesh is providing the leadership to drive that growth,” said the Chief Minister.

A Journey of Reflection on the Eve of Independence Day
As the nation prepares to celebrate its 78th Independence Day, Adityanath called it a moment for “self-assessment and collective resolve” during India’s Amrit Kaal (era of elixir), echoing the PM’s call for citizens to commit to long-term national goals.
“One of the most important resolutions shared by Prime Minister Modi during the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was to establish India as a Developed Nation by 2047,” he reiterated.
CM Yogi Adityanath’s address in the UP Assembly framed Vision 2047 not only as a policy initiative but as a collective national mission, urging all stakeholders—governments, opposition, and citizens—to actively contribute to building a self-reliant and prosperous India.
